Great crew of the Grand Lady
What makes this ship so great is the crew. We have been on 4 cruises on the Grand Lady and have another cruise scheduled for later this month, hurricane season pending. The ship is awesome but the crew makes these cruises great. The food in the main dining room is pretty good. The food in the Windjammer is very good. The Windjammer features a different country each day. I feel like I can tell when the chefs' home country is featured as the quality of the food sky rockets right into awesome. I must say that the average age of the cruisers on this ship is probably around 65. (I am 67.) If a person much younger desires a relaxed cruise then this is the cruise ship to select. I can't speak to what goes on at night as I usually crash by 9:30 pm. The ship has a full musical revue with shows every night (or so I have read. lol) The shore excursions are okay. Most of the locations are tourist traps and the excursions are ridiculously expensive, but we expect that and avoid those places. Occasionally, interesting excursions do pop up. We just enjoy cruising on the ship at sea, being babied all day everyday. Good fun. Enjoy!
