Four Women Perish in Cruise Boat Fire

Police said an investigation was underway into Hartebeespoort Dam boat tragedy, which ended with at least 4 people dead.

3 women drowned and a 4th burned to death when a party boat caught fire on Saturday, November 19.

Emergency services estimated about 200 crew and passengers were onboard the boat 'Prime Time', owned by Boaters World Adventures, at the time of accident.

Police’s Pelonomi Makau said:

“There is a possibility that more bodies could be recovered, as the search continues. The cause of the fire is still unknown at this stage and the investigation continues.”

Police said it was possible that more bodies could be recovered after the accident.
