Review of Pacific Dawn deck 14 (Sun)

  • “The Dome” is the ship’s indoor observation lounge with glass roof cover, ample seating area, large dance floor and a full service bar. During the day, the lounge offers 180°panoramic port and ocean views. In the evenings (after 10:30pm), it transforms into a disco nightclub.
  • The “Big Screen” is a large-size outdoor LED screen for movies, sports games (including NRL/AFL), show programs.
  • Walking/Jogging Track, along with Deck Games: area (quoits, giant chess board, golf putting green, shuffleboard).
  • Located aft are the other two of all four teens and kids club lounges with supervised activities by the P&O’s youth programme. The “HQ” lounge is for kids 11-14 yo, while the “HQ+” lounge is for teenagers (14-17 yo). These children’s clubs offer as activities film making, teen disco, “teen jam” (teenagers can form a music band for live performances), sports contests and competitions, watching movies, Karaoke singalongs, playing Nintendo/PS games. Here are also organized talent shows, dancing classes, themed party nights.
  • In 2014, on the Pacific Dawn cruise ship was introduced the P&O Australia line’s “P&OEdge” programmme. It offers 20 different activities on the ship, featuring climbing, jumping and racing through the Dawn ship, and even flying on ropes around its Atrium area. The most popular of the activities by this program are named “Cargo Net Race”, “Flying fox”, “Slackline Bouncing Bridge”, “Atrium High Ropes”, “Aft Funnel Climb”, “Bungee Tramp”, “Bow Ladder Climb”.
