Port Canaveral announced it is raising the cruise parking rate again for passengers leaving their vehicles at the terminal.
Effective as of November 1, the per-day parking rate goes from US$16 to US$17 per day, inching it closer to prices charged at Port Miami. Vehicles over 20 ft long, including RVs and buses, go from paying US$28 per day to US$29 per day.
Port Canaveral charges on day of the week basis rather than 24-hour period.
According to the port, the increase is necessary to help pay for the facility's improvements. The increase is expected to bring in an estimated US$524,000 per year.
Port Canaveral's last cruise parking increase was in 2016 spring, when the price went from US$15 per day to US$16 per day.
