In recent years, CocoCay Bahamas has emerged as a beloved destination for RCI-Royal Caribbean’s ships. However, until this week, it had remained absent from Celebrity Cruises' itineraries.
This week marked a significant change, as both Celebrity Reflection and Celebrity Beyond made their inaugural calls at CocoCay. This addition comes as part of Celebrity’s broader initiative to offer expanded "short Caribbean itinerary" cruises departing from South Florida.
Laura Hodges (Celebrity's President) noted that the decision to introduce Perfect Day at CocoCay was influenced by feedback from guests. She emphasized that this addition provides new opportunities for Celebrity guests seeking quick beach getaways close to home.
The stopover at CocoCay encompasses the island’s exclusive Hideaway Beach, boasting four distinct bars and entertainment provided by a DJ. Both the Reflection and Beyond ships will include CocoCay as a highlight on their 5-night roundtrips from Fort Lauderdale Florida. These itineraries also feature stops in Bimini, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Key West FL.
