Ontario Cruise Industry Receives Financial Boost

Cruise industry in Ontario is currently receiving financial boost from province. The news will have an impact on port cities like Midland.

CSIG (Cruise Ship Industry Group) received a US$250,000 grant from Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture & Sport.

The grant will support Great Lakes cursing industry in Ontario, including the development of Ontario Cruise Ship Industry.

Working closely with Great Lakes Cruise Coalition and Cruise Ontario (its Canadian arm), CSIG will create a business case which identifies current state and future prospects of Great Lakes cruise ship industry in Ontario. It will also create a strategy to guide the industry's development and identify the needed improvements in the infrastructure of ports and port attractions.
