U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) officials said they evacuated a 60-yo woman from a Carnival cruise ship off Louisiana coast to get emergency medical attention.

The Coast Guard announced in a statement the rescue happened early Monday morning, around 14 miles south of Southwest Pass, Louisiana.

Authorities said the liner Carnival Triumph on Sunday night requested the lady was in need of dialysis and had to be picked up. The USCG said a 45-foot boat from Louisiana's Coast Guard Station Venice was sent to get her. According to officials, she was in stable condition.
