European river cruise company Riviera Travel (UK) christened its 9th ship under charter (shipowner is Scylla Cruises) and intends to launch 3 more by the end of 2019. The 167-guest, all-suite ms Robert Burns is to be followed by ms Douro Splendour in August 2018.
During its first year, ms Robert Burns will sail on Rhine, Main and Danube rivers. It will carry out various Riviera River Cruises itineraries, such as Cruise the Heart of Europe, Budapest to Black Sea, and Enchanting Rhine & Yuletide Markets.
Next year, Riviera Travel will lauch another 2 new ships, ms William Wordsworth (to sail along the Danube) and ms George Eliot (to sail along Rhine, Main and Danube).
The newbuilds will feature a main restaurant, a second more casual restaurant, panoramic observation lounge, boutique and wellness area.
