On December 22, 2007, while en-route Genoa (Italy) to Palma de Mallorca (Spain), the ship suffered a propulsion failure. The vessel had just left the Genoa shipyard (after completing a scheduled drydock) and had to return back for repairs. The next scheduled Transatlantic cruise from Palma to the Caribbean) was cancelled.
