Ship - Disney Treasure, Route -  Western Caribbean

Captain Danielle around 8:20 PM on July 17th, 2025, in the afternoon came over [the PA system] and said that there was a person in need of immediate medical attention. He informed us that we would be making a stop at Disney’s Lighthouse Point to drop the person off and that we would be arriving to our next port of call (Castaway Cay) in the morning.

Appeared to be a young kid who was wheeled off in a wheelchair and then people were shouting his name, Danny, before he was driven off the pier at Disney Lighthouse Point.

The incident occurred during the 7-day "Western Caribbean Cruise" (itinerary July 12-19, roundtrip from Port Canaveral, Florida USA) visiting Mexico (Cozumel/Jul 14), Grand Cayman Island (George Town Harbour/Jul 15), Jamaica (Falmouth/Jul 16) and the Bahamas (Castaway Cay/Jul 18).

10 November 2024Boat Rescue

On November 10, 2024, the ship responded to a distress call and successfully rescued 4 sailors stranded on a boat in the Atlantic Ocean.

Positioned southwest of Bermuda, the catamaran Serenity had begun to take on water, prompting its skipper to issue a distress signal to the USCG/Coast Guard. Being the nearest vessel, Disney Treasure changed course immediately, and navigated toward the boat's location. The crew launched a rescue boat and brought the four sailors safely aboard from the sinking catamaran.

The ship was mastered by Captain Marco Nogara.

The incident occurred during Disney Treasure's Transatlantic crossing (crew-only voyage, October 29-Nov 11) from Europe to the USA, where the ship was scheduled to start revenue operations from Port Canaveral (Orlando, Florida) on November 12th.

Before changing course to assist the rescue, the ship made an overnight bunkering call (Nov 3-4) in Funchal (Madeira Portugal).
