18 February 2022Other Incidents

On February 18, 2022, AOV-Atlas Ocean Voyages (with World Navigator) performed the world's first official Antarctic wedding. The ceremony was officiated by a licensed Marriage Officer (British Antarctic Territory/BAT-registered).

A total of 8 couples purchased the company's wedding package "Happy Ever Atlas" (5x weddings, 3x vow renewals) with 7 of them performed onboard the ship. All AOV-performed weddings receive a UK wedding license (USA-recognized) as well as onboard party events (cocktail reception, cake ceremony, bachelorette/bachelor parties, digital photos, gift bags, Thank You cards).
