Ocean Explorer cabins review

Below is a review of Ocean Explorer cruise ship cabins, including amenities, furnishings, and included (complimentary) services:

All staterooms are outside cabins, featuring either step-out balconies, French balconies, or porthole windows. Most accommodations (approximately 80% of all cabins, excluding only Deck 3 cabins with portholes) include a private step-out balcony, accessed from the living area via a sliding, floor-to-ceiling glass door. Each balcony is furnished with a small table and two deck chairs. About 60% of all cabins can be booked for triple occupancy, accommodating a third guest on a pull-out couch/sofa bed.

Cabin furnishings include hotel-style beds (king-size or two twins, measuring 200 x 160 cm, with ample under-bed storage for suitcases), a sleeping couch (sofa bed), bedside cabinets, a mirrored vanity (writing desk/dressing table) with chair, built-in dressers with drawers, minibar/refrigerator, 42-inch smart HDTV (local and satellite channels), telephone (for onboard communication only), digital clock/alarm, seating area (small table with one or two armchairs), and a spacious wardrobe (closet with hangers, drawers, electronic safe, and life jackets). Additional features include individual climate control and a medical emergency call button.

Each stateroom has a private, full-size bathroom equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, and premium bath amenities.

Suites are offered in three categories—CS (Captain’s Suite), JS (Junior Suite), and BS (Balcony Suite). These are the ship’s largest accommodations, featuring double-size balconies and additional amenities such as in-room dining service, including continental breakfast served on the balcony.

Ocean Explorer has a total of 20 pairs of connecting balcony cabins that can be booked together as one stateroom accommodating up to six guests, making them ideal for families. The ship does not have wheelchair-accessible cabins for passengers with disabilities.
