VIVA Unique cabins review

The VIVA Unique ship features a modern cabin layout built around VIVA Cruises’ “VIVA Boutique” luxury concept. The boat has 56 passenger staterooms, all with double occupancy (for 112 guests), with ~50% of all accommodations being in suite categories. The largest are the Unique Suites.

Cabins are consistently styled in a contemporary, light aesthetic, feature highly functional layouts, and all categories share a strong baseline of hotel-like amenities.

Standard amenities (provided in all cabins) include twin bed configuration (single beds convertible to double), a 32-inch TV, minibar (replenished daily with bottled water, beer, soft drinks), Nespresso machine, individual air conditioning and heating, digital safe (in the closet), phone, hairdryer, writing desk/table with chairs, wardrobe, under-bed storage, en-suite bathroom with shower, free Wi-Fi.

Emerald Deck cabins (14-16 m2) are on the lowest passenger deck. They feature a fixed panoramic window (non-opening, positioned near the ceiling) and are best suited for guests prioritizing value over space or balcony access.

French Balcony cabins (aft on decks Ruby and Diamond, sized 15-18 m2) feature floor-to-ceiling sliding windows/doors opening to a false balcony.

Ruby Deck's Suites (midship, 25 m2) are aligned with the main dining level (Riverside Restaurant/forward), which gives them a strong balance between accessibility and comfort, with reduced engine noise compared to Emerald Deck's cabins.

Junior Suites (midship on decks Ruby and Diamond, adjacent to the Atrium) are sized 22 m2 and additionally feature a dedicated lounge space (separate sleeping/lounge areas), larger bathrooms with rain showers, enhanced welcome service (aperitif, canapes) and upgraded amenities (RITUALS brand toiletries).

Diamond Deck's Unique Suites (aft-midship, sized 30 m2) are aligned with the main lounge level (Panorama Salon/forward) and laso the aft Moments/Bistro and the forward specialty restaurant Trattoria. Unique Suites offer signature perks, including priority embarkation (early check-in access), welcome aperitif (with wine and canapes), SPA bathrobe and slippers, laundry credit. These staterooms have a full lounge zone (sofa seating), a larger bathroom (with upgraded finishes), expanded storage space, and a high-end cabin amenities package. Unique Suites are the top-tier accommodations that define the ship’s boutique positioning. They feel closer to a luxury hotel suite than a standard cruise cabin, especially due to space segmentation and service touches.

All French Balcony Cabins and Junior Suites receive a VIVA Boutique welcome gift, a themed excursion and complimentary laundry service. All Suites benefit from priority embarkation, a welcome aperitif, and airport transfers from Venice. Unique Suites additionally receive in-cabin dining (breakfast, seasonal treats) and an exclusive aperitif with the boat's Captain and Hotel Manager.
