Australia's largest cruise company P&O Cruises Australia created a buzz in Sydney Harbour NSW as it celebrated its 90th year of passenger shipping operations on July 24th, 2023.

With over half a million travelers choosing P&O Australia for their cruise vacation in 2023, the brand stands as the unequivocal top choice for cruising in this part of the globe.

Marguerite Fitzgerald (P&O AU's President) expressed that it was a fitting tribute to honor nine decades of cruise vacations with a grand celebration held on the impressive Pacific Adventure ship.

In commemoration of this milestone, celebrity Ricki-Lee Coulter was designated as the Godmother of the Pacific Adventure during a special ceremony on board, attended by over 200 guests.

In the true spirit of Sydney, P&O AU's talented performers will entertain the guests, and Ricki-Lee will grace the stage with a rendition of Tina Turner's iconic hit, "Simply the Best," as a gesture to the remarkable guests, crew, and partners.

Throughout the year 2023, the Pacific Adventure will embark on 58 journeys from Sydney, having provided nearly 200,000 guests with memorable experiences around Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific by year's end.

P&O Cruises is also proud to support the Royal Flying Doctor Service, which offers crucial assistance to our guests residing in remote communities across New South Wales.

Ms. Fitzgerald said P&O Cruises had a strong track record supporting NSW, with the Pacific Adventure ship based in Sydney throughout the year.

“Our commitment to calling Sydney home has been steadfast. We have invested in our ships and in the businesses that support us year-round to make sure that remains the case for decades to come.

“Cruising supports so many communities, small businesses, tourism and hospitality operators with more than $3.3 billion injected into NSW and over $5.2 billion across our national economy.

“None of this of course is possible without all the love, support and passion for cruising and we thank the people of Sydney and NSW for making our 90th milestone one to remember. Thank you.”
