SITA, a prominent IT service provider in the travel industry, has partnered with Costa Cruises to enhance their ability to manage costly disruptions in guest itineraries. By utilizing a cloud-based application featuring an intuitive user interface, SITA provides accurate, real-time flight updates, allowing Costa Cruises' operations team to associate each flight with the corresponding vessel and relevant booking codes.

Costa Cruises (subsidiary of Carnival Corporation) offers fly-cruise packages that encompass both dedicated charter flights and scheduled flights. The flight updates delivered by SITA's Flight Monitoring Solution empower Costa's Operations Control Center (OCC) to streamline the embarkation and disembarkation process for Fly & Cruise guests. Furthermore, it assists in optimizing the planning of crew movements and allocations.

In the event of flight cancellations or delays, this continuously updated dataset becomes indispensable for swiftly arranging guest transfers to the next port of call. This not only minimizes associated costs but also avoids operational inefficiencies, ensuring a seamless guest experience. Timely disembarkation also enables guests to maximize their onboard experience while allowing Costa Cruises to efficiently manage airport transfers.

The application harnesses the capabilities of SITA Flight Global APIs and provides direct integration with airlines to access real-time updates, including charter flights, thus facilitating effective decision-making and operational efficiency.
