The Port Authority of Cartagena will host the 66th edition of the MedCruise General Assembly, scheduled to take place from 10 to 13 June 2025 in the historic city of Cartagena, Spain.

This assembly will serve as a central forum for MedCruise members and key stakeholders in the cruise sector to engage in structured dialogue, business exchange, and strategic collaboration.

Over the course of four days, the event will feature a series of structured B2B sessions designed to facilitate direct engagement between port representatives and cruise operators. The programme also includes panel discussions focusing on the current priorities and evolving dynamics of the cruise industry. These sessions will address sectoral trends, technological developments, sustainability efforts, and innovation in cruise operations.

The General Assembly is expected to attract not only representatives from cruise companies and MedCruise member ports, but also members of the maritime press and influential industry stakeholders. This broad representation supports the Association’s goal of fostering deeper cooperation and knowledge exchange across the Mediterranean cruise sector.

Specialised working group meetings will be convened as part of the Assembly to enable focused discussion on operational, technical, and promotional aspects of the industry. These gatherings will provide a platform for collaborative planning and alignment on shared goals.

Alongside the professional programme, delegates will be offered guided tours of Cartagena’s historical and cultural landmarks, providing contextual insight into the host city’s maritime heritage. The Assembly agenda will also incorporate a Board of Directors meeting and an internal session dedicated to governance matters concerning MedCruise's strategic direction and future initiatives.

Social events have been integrated into the schedule, including a formal Gala Dinner in a historic venue, where attendees will be introduced to a renowned, locally produced liqueur alongside a curated regional menu. The Assembly will conclude with a Farewell Dinner, featuring live music and cultural presentations emblematic of Cartagena’s local identity.

The 66th MedCruise General Assembly represents a significant occasion for Mediterranean cruise stakeholders to consolidate partnerships, share strategic insights, and contribute to the continued development of cruise activity across the region.
