Celestyal Journey introduces in-cabin digital service tablets

Celestyal has completed the installation of in-cabin guest experience tablets throughout all 630 staterooms on Celestyal Journey, becoming the first cruise operator to deploy SuitePad devices across every cabin on one of its ships. The tablets, supplied by SuitePad and now available to all travellers aboard the vessel, are intended to centralise key onboard services and information delivery directly to the cabin environment.

The digital interface allows passengers to transmit service requests, make purchases through onboard retail outlets, and place orders for room service. Users can also request a stateroom upgrade and reserve seating at speciality dining venues without leaving their rooms. Essential voyage details such as deck plans, daily activity listings and entertainment schedules are accessible via the tablets, replacing traditional printed materials and consolidating communication channels.

Celestyal’s commercial leadership described the roll-out as part of a wider effort to simplify the flow of information and afford guests enhanced autonomy in managing aspects of their cruise. The line’s adoption of this in-cabin technology is presented as a step toward streamlined service provision and clearer engagement between shipboard teams and passengers.

Celestyal Journey operates year-round, with 7- and 14-night itineraries among the Greek Islands and throughout the Mediterranean between April and November, and 7-night voyages in the Arabian Gulf from November through March.
