TUI Cruises has introduced the MXP365 Mein Schiff Chat service across its entire Mein Schiff fleet, expanding the digital functionality of the line’s mobile platform to include integrated onboard guest communication.
Embedded directly within the Mein Schiff mobile application, the new feature enables passengers to communicate through private one-to-one messaging and group conversations without reliance on external messaging platforms. The system allows guests to coordinate daily activities, arrange meeting points, and remain in contact with family members, travelling companions, and fellow passengers throughout the voyage.
The deployment is intended to strengthen onboard connectivity while supporting a more streamlined guest experience. By centralising communication within the cruise line’s own digital ecosystem, passengers are able to manage social interaction and voyage planning through a single platform integrated with existing itinerary and onboard service functions.
The company indicated that the new chat capability is expected to contribute to stronger guest engagement by improving communication throughout the voyage, while also facilitating more efficient organisation of personal schedules and group activities. The platform additionally provides a private and secure communication environment through dedicated chat groups, allowing controlled interaction without the use of third-party applications.
The rollout reflects ongoing collaboration between MXP, the cruise industry software provider behind the MXP365 platform, and TUI Cruises. Both companies noted that continued development of the system has been guided by operational requirements and guest usage patterns, with further digital enhancements expected as the platform evolves.
