Marlink has been selected by TUI Cruises to provide a fully managed connectivity and digital services platform for Mein Schiff Flow, the latest vessel in the cruise operator’s fleet. The project will support digital experiences for guests and crew while also enhancing shipboard operations through a resilient hybrid communications infrastructure.

The new vessel, part of TUI Cruises’ InTUItion-class series, is scheduled to be christened in Trieste, Italy, on June 20th, 2026. Upon entering service, Mein Schiff Flow will operate with an integrated connectivity environment combining Starlink low-Earth-orbit services, geostationary VSAT connectivity and mobile satellite services as a backup layer. These systems will be managed through Marlink’s network orchestration platform to ensure continuous connectivity across a range of operating conditions. TUI Cruises also plans to broadcast the christening ceremony live via Starlink, extending the event to a wider audience.

Designed to accommodate more than 3,900 guests and ~1,500 crew members, Mein Schiff Flow represents the latest generation of vessels within the TUI Cruises fleet. The InTUItion class places emphasis on open public spaces, contemporary design and closer engagement with the sea, while also incorporating advanced digital capabilities intended to support both guest services and operational efficiency on worldwide itineraries.

The connectivity solution is based on Marlink’s Possibility Portfolio and delivered through its XChange NextGen platform. The hybrid network architecture has been developed to provide high levels of availability and resilience, particularly on routes that include remote destinations where reliable communications remain essential for operational continuity and passenger expectations. Intelligent traffic management will dynamically allocate bandwidth across multiple satellite services according to network availability, application requirements and operational priorities.

The deployment further extends the existing partnership between Marlink and TUI Cruises, which has supported the cruise line’s digital transformation initiatives since 2018. The collaboration previously included the installation of Sealink NextGen aboard Mein Schiff Relax, the first vessel in the InTUItion class, in 2024. With the introduction of Mein Schiff Flow, Marlink continues to expand its role in providing managed connectivity and digital infrastructure across TUI Cruises’ newest ships.

Marlink stated that the solution had been designed to meet growing expectations for seamless digital services at sea while ensuring dependable support for critical shipboard operations. The company indicated that the combination of multi-orbit connectivity, intelligent traffic management and resilient onboard infrastructure would enable TUI Cruises to maintain a consistent connected experience for guests and crew regardless of the vessel’s operating region.
