Scylla's subsidiary VIVA Cruises has introduced a bespoke artificial intelligence platform designed to support travel agents and customers in identifying suitable river cruise itineraries through a personalised booking experience.
The new AI Travel Advisor is now available on the cruise line's website and can be accessed via the dedicated icon displayed on the right-hand side of the homepage.
The platform allows users to enter individual travel preferences, including destination, voyage duration, interests, travel style and budget. Based on these criteria, the system recommends available itineraries tailored to the user's requirements.
The AI tool also supports interactive conversations, enabling users to ask follow-up questions and refine recommendations in real time as their preferences or travel plans evolve.
VIVA Cruises stated that the platform has been developed to streamline the booking process for its travel agent partners by reducing the time required to research itineraries and identify suitable cruise options. The company indicated that the conversational functionality enables agents to respond more efficiently to changing customer requirements while providing more personalised holiday recommendations.
