Oceania Cruises expands onboard enrichment programme across its fleet

Oceania Cruises will expand its onboard enrichment programme across the fleet from 2027, introducing a broader range of expert speakers, special-interest activities and destination-focused experiences.

The enhanced programme will place a dedicated enrichment speaker on every sailing, with presentations covering heritage, culture and history and designed to complement the line’s destination-focused itineraries. Longer voyages will include additional opportunities for expert-led learning and specialised programming.

Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises, said the expanded programme was intended to meet growing demand among luxury travellers for more meaningful engagement with the destinations and subjects explored during their voyages. The line said the new format would also provide greater opportunities for guests to personalise their time onboard through cultural, wellness and special-interest activities.

Voyages lasting 12 days or more will feature a second special-interest speaker, covering subjects such as astronomy, sport, artificial intelligence, technology, health and longevity, alongside other contemporary topics intended to encourage learning and discussion.

Sailings with 3 or more sea days will also offer specialist-led activities. Depending on the voyage, these will include American Mah Jongg instruction or bridge classes and play led by American Contract Bridge League-accredited instructors.

On longer itineraries with 6 or more sea days, Oceania Cruises will add further activities, including creative workshops conducted by Crafting Arts Ambassadors and BeMoved®, an inclusive dance programme combining movement, music and physical activity.

The expanded programme forms part of Oceania Cruises’ wider approach to the onboard experience, extending its emphasis on discovery beyond the ports of call. Through a combination of destination-related lectures, specialist instruction, creative activities and wellness-focused experiences, the line is increasing the range of opportunities available to guests during time at sea.
