American Cruise Lines announced that at 5 am (Friday morning, June 7) its 2nd new modern riverboat - American Harmony, moved under its own power to the outfitting pier of the Chesapeake Shipbuilding yard (Salisbury MD) for final touches.

American Harmony was launched in November 2018 and is ahead of schedule for August 17, 2019, inaugural voyage on the Mississippi River.

Harmony is the second of five new ships in the line's revolutionary new modern riverboat series. The first vessel, American Song, was the first USA-based modern riverboat and entered into service last fall. American Harmony was launched 1 year to the day of the sistership American Song. Construction on the 3rd ship in the series (American Jazz) is well underway, with planned launch in nearly 3 months (also at Chesapeake Shipbuilding).
