CMV-Cruise and Maritime Voyages canceled a 110-night world cruise (themed "Oriental Odyssey" following political unrest in Hong Kong China.

The Marco Polo ship will now offer 4 new itineraries:

  • 42-night to the Amazon, departing Bristol (England) on January 5, 2021
  • 12-night Land of the Northern Lights on March 20, 2021
  • A couple of 15-night Land of the Northern Lights voyages from London-Tilbury (England) on February 18 and March 5, 2021.

According to the line’s marketing director, Mike Hall, the current situation in Hong Kong had adversely affected sales of the Oriental Odyssey voyage. They did not know what the situation would be in Hong Kong in 2021 so they had decided to amend the programme of the ship.

Hall added that passengers would be "delighted to see among the new itineraries an Amazon cruise."

A package of transfer options had been offered to those affected.
