A violent weather system in the South Pacific Ocean affected the Fiji Islands cruise ship schedules. Captain Cook Cruises Fiji took the decision to scrap one of its voyages with other operators waiting to make a visit.
The sizable tropical cyclone is moving to North Island New Zealand with Fiji and Tonga in the projected path by the end of the week. A surge of heavy rain, rough seas, and gale-force winds have been forecasted.
Captain Cook Cruises ship Reef Endeavour cancelled the 4-night itinerary (departure January 14) due to weather. Departure January 18 is still scheduled to go ahead. Passengers will be given free amendments for affected bookings.
