CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping Welcomes Costa Atlantica

CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping, the joint venture between the largest Chinese shipbuilding company China State Shipbuilding Corp. and the US-based Carnival Corp., on Monday (January 13) welcomed its newest ship.

The 85,861 GT, 2,210- guest Costa Atlantica was inked to be transferred from Costa Cruises to CSSC Carnival Cruise Shipping as the result of a strategic partnership between the two companies established during the first China International Import Expo in Shanghai in 2018.

The 2,114-guest Costa Mediterranea is also set to join the fleet by the end of 2020, followed by 6 Vista ships that will enter service starting 2023.
