Fred Olsen Cruise Line launched the program ‘Virtual Cruising’ in order to advertise small-ship cruises targeting travellers who are currently self-isolating at home.

The new program was launched over the Easter weekend and is focused on Norway's fjords. The company also launched a story writing competition, with passengers taking part to be in with an opportunity to win a 5-night cruise for two in 2021.

This week, the Norwegian theme continues with an onboard lecture from marine conservation charity ORCA, a celebration of the best of Bergen and explorations of Olden.

Guests are being encouraged to share pictures of themselves enjoying daily exercise every Wednesday as the cruise line rolls out daily ‘Walk a Mile with a Smile’, usually held each morning on each of Fred Olsen's four ocean ships.

An online content hub called ‘The Bridge’ has been created on the Fred Olsen website, including short workouts, recipe ideas, blog posts, and videos.

Next week, Fred. Olsen’s virtual programme continues with a focus on the Canaries, the Azores, and Madeira along with a full itinerary to be posted across social media channels.
