The Mystic Cruises-owned German operator Nicko Cruises (fleet) announced the company will require proof of vaccination on all of its ships.

Nicko's two ocean ships - Vasco da Gama and World Voyager will sail only with vaccinated/recovered passengers from COVID, beginning at the end of October 2021. On the river, the 2G rule is to apply from November 29.

The German brand is extending the hygiene & safety measures onboard all boats, ensuring maximum safety on the way and when planning a vacation.

The 2G rule on Vasco da Gama applies from October 27, while on World Voyager applies from October 29, 2021.

Passengers 12+ years of age must provide "full vaccination against COVID (at least 14 days must have passed since the last required vaccination with an EU-approved vaccine) or full recovery, prepared in digitally readable form for international voyages, with an obligatory QR code that proves it."

Kids under the age of 12 are not obligated with the regulation. A negative PCR test is mandatory, which mustn't be older than 72 hours at the embarkation.

Nicko Cruises is testing all passengers free of charge with a SARS-Cov-2 antigen rapid test upon embarkation.
