On May 18, 2021, the docked at Port Hamburg (Germany) cruise ship was hit by a large container ship leaving the harbor. The 2011-built boxship CSCL Star (IMO 9466867, capacity 13300 TEU-containers) was assisted by tugboats when struck Hanseatic Inspiration.

The collision happened while the boxship was turning/maneuvering. The cargo vessel moved very slowly toward the cruiser and eventually hit the berthed ship's forward-portside section. Impacted were the cruise ship's hull (contacted by the boxship's bulbous bow) and superstructure (top-deck, above the Wheelhouse).
