08 March 2019Other Incidents(Seabourn Sojourn) On March 8, 2019, due to bad weather conditions, the ship had to cancel the scheduled visit at Mossel Bay (planned port stay 8 am - 6 pm) and continued directly to Port Elizabeth. The incident occurred at the beginning of a 20-day Indian Ocean Islands cruise (itinerary March 5-25) from Cape Town (South Africa) to Male (Maldives) with ports of call in South Africa (Mossel Bay, Port Elizabeth, Durban), Madagascar (Tolagnaro), Reunion (Saint-Denis) and Mauritius (Port Louis). |
06 December 2012Other Incidents(Seabourn Sojourn) On December 6, 2012, the liner carrying around 450 passengers was prevented from leaving Port Buenos Aires (Argentina) due to a protest over the Falklands / Malvinas. The ship was blocked by protesting workers as it was scheduled to visit the disputed British overseas territory. The incident resulted in a 7+ hours delay. The vessel was allowed to leave port only after the Captain pledged not to visit the islands. |
