MS Douro Estrela cabins review
MS Estrela has a total of 58 passenger staterooms, all outside and designed for double occupancy.
The largest accommodations are the Owner’s Suites (22 m2 / 235 ft2), followed by the French Balcony Suites (ranging from 15 to 18 m2 / 160–195 ft2). The smallest are the Window Cabins (15 m2 / 155 ft2).
Except for the Lower Deck cabins (Category E), all other staterooms on Decks 2 (Main) and 3 (Upper) feature French balconies with floor-to-ceiling sliding electric windows that open halfway down.
Each Window Cabin has a high-level, non-opening window located near the ceiling.
On the Main Deck, French Balcony cabins are categorized as B, C, and CT. Category CT cabins have two separate fixed twin beds that cannot be converted into a double.
On the Upper Deck, French Balcony cabins are in categories P and S. The two Owner’s Suites are also located aft on this deck.
Standard (cruise price-inclusive) amenities in all MS Estrela staterooms include an en-suite bathroom (single-sink vanity, toilet, shower, under-sink storage, magnifying mirror, hairdryer, shaver socket, and bathrobes), hotel-style beds (Queen-size convertible to twins, with premium bedding and pillows), bedside tables, wall-mounted reading lamps, LED ceiling lights, wall-mounted HDTV (with satellite reception, infotainment system, movies, Internet/Wi-Fi, ship information channel, and real-time bow camera views), phone (for onboard calls, Reception Desk, cabin-to-cabin, and wake-up service), mirrored vanity/writing desk, round table with two armchairs, mirrored wardrobe, minibar (refrigerator and tea/coffee-making facilities), electronic safe (in the closet), 220V power sockets, individually controlled air-conditioning, and butler service.
