MS Thurgau Gold cabins review
MS Thurgau Gold has a total of 91 staterooms (87 cabins plus 4 Suites), all with double occupancy (2-Bettkabinen) and all outside, offering river views.
Passenger accommodations are available in three types: Gold Suite, French Balcony (Superior and Deluxe), and Window (Standard). The ship features seven cabin categories, including three aft (hinten) categories.
The largest accommodations are the Gold Suites, sized 23 m2 (250 ft2). French Balcony cabins on the Middle and Upper decks measure 16 m2 (170 ft2). Standard cabins on the Lower Deck are the smallest at 14 m2 (150 ft2), each fitted with a non-opening window positioned near the ceiling.
All passenger cabins are stylishly designed, comfortable, and equipped with individual air conditioning, LCD TV, radio, phone, hairdryer, electronic safe (in the closet), sleeping area (non-convertible double bed with leather headboard and nightstands with reading lamps), seating area (two plush armchairs with a round table), and an en-suite bathroom (single-sink vanity with drawers, wall mirror, round LED-lighted magnifying mirror, glass shower, and wall-hung toilet).
All French Balcony staterooms are located on the Middle and Upper decks and feature a large wall-to-wall window that slides open to the floor, transforming into a balconette/French balcony.
The four Gold Suites are located midship on the Upper Deck. Each suite offers a spacious living/sleeping area (double bed, sofa, armchair, coffee table) and two French balcony windows (both opening). Suite bathrooms are larger and equipped with a double-sink vanity.
