Paul Gauguin cabins review

All MS Paul Gauguin staterooms are oceanview (there are no inside cabins), and nearly 70% feature step-out balconies. The ship has only one handicap (wheelchair-accessible) stateroom for disabled passengers (E-415 Oceanview). There are 9 total cabin categories, including 4 different Suite grades.

Below is a review of MS Paul Gauguin staterooms in terms of furniture, amenities, and included (complimentary) services:

Each cruise accommodation features a private bathroom (WC, full-size bathtub, shower, luxury bath amenities, hairdryer, bathrobes, towels, slippers), queen-size beds (some convertible to two twin beds), luxury bedding sets, vanity table with chair(s), ample closet space, smart HDTV (with DVD/CD player), fully stocked minibar (mini-fridge), in-room safe, and direct-dial telephone.

Owner Suite 701 (with balcony) additionally offers 2 extra beds (cribs or roll-away), a separate dressing area, and a bathroom with a separate shower. Owner Suite 702 (with balcony) has a separate dressing area, full-size bathtub, and a queen-size sofabed.

Both Grand Suites (located on Deck 8) feature 2 additional beds (cribs or roll-away).

The four Veranda Suite categories (on Deck 7) include 2 additional beds (cribs or queen-size sofabed).

Category B Veranda staterooms include a sofa bed for a third guest. Cabin B-703 has a shower stall instead of a bathtub. Categories C-D Balcony cabins may vary in size and accommodate a third guest in a convertible loveseat bed.

Categories E-F Oceanview (window) cabins also accommodate a third guest in a convertible loveseat bed. The only difference between them is the window type—Category E features a picture window, while Category F has two portholes (round-shaped windows).

All staterooms have individual air conditioning. Minibars in all cabins are replenished daily with complimentary bottled water, beer, and soft drinks.

On MS Paul Gauguin, triple-occupancy accommodations (using convertible loveseat beds) are available in the following categories:

  • Suites (OS, GS, A).
  • Balcony cabins—all Category B staterooms; Category C cabins with numbers ending in 6 and 8 (except C-706 and C-766); and Category D cabins with numbers ending in 6 and 8.
  • Oceanview Category E cabins with numbers ending in 5, 6, and 8 (except the handicap-accessible E-415, which has a roll-away bed).
  • Note that loveseat beds are smaller than standard twin beds.
