Wind Surf cabins review

All Wind Surf staterooms are with outside views (no inside cabins), but none of them has a private balcony. This includes even both grades Suite accommodations, which are with porthole (round-shaped) windows. The yacht also doesn't have connecting or handicap (wheelchair-accessible) cabins for disabled passengers. The number of all cabin categories is 7.

Follows the review of Wind Surf staterooms as furniture, amenities and included (complimentary) services:

Each cruise accommodation has a separate bathroom (granite countertop, WC-toilet, full-size bathtub, shower, luxury bath amenities by L'Occitane, premium bathrobes, towels, slippers), two twin beds convertible to queen-size (with luxury pillows and bedding sets /Egyptian cotton linens), vanity table with 1 chair and magnifying mirror, ample walk-in closet space, smart HDTV (set with DVD player), minibar (fully-stocked mini-refrigerator), electronic safe box and lifejackets (in the closet), phone (direct dial), 110V/220V power outlets.

All staterooms (regardless of cabin category) receive fresh flowers, a bowl with fresh fruits and bottled water (replenished daily).

  • Category BS (two “Bridge Suites”) has larger porthole windows, separate living area (sofa bed, dining table, wet-bar), separate bedroom (queen bed).
  • Each of the all 20x Suites (categories S and OS) has a living area with sofabed for a 3rd passenger.
  • Each standard cabin has 2x Porthole windows equipped with steel covers that can be closed in bad weather.

Triple-occupancy staterooms (cabins fitted with a 3rd bed) are rooms 117 through 140 plus all suites. Double-bed cabins (fitted with 1x Queen-size bed / non-convertible to twins) are rooms 101, 102, 157, 202, 204, 269, 301, 302, 303, 304.

Officer’s Suite is a new cabin category introduced after the ship's drydock 2019. The nautically-decorated cabin is located directly behind the Wheelhouse (Navigation Bridge), which is a crew-only area. Officers Suite amenities include separate bedroom/living room, full bathroom (with Jacuzzi / whirlpool tub, angled single-sink vanity), binoculars, sextant (navigation instrument for measuring the angular distance between two visible objects), a museum-quality ship model (of a J-class sailboat).

Smoking on the ship is permitted only at designated areas on the open decks.

Dress code is “casual elegance” (jackets and ties are not required, even for dinner).

Be prepared for the noise made by the yacht’s diesel generators. They operate 24 hours a day to generate power for the lighting and air-conditioning on board.
