MSC Explora 4 (2027-built/currently on order) is the fourth in a planned series of six MSC EXPLORA-class expedition luxury ships, with fleetmates Explora 1 (2023), Explora 2 (2024), Explora 3 (2026), Explora 5 (2027), and Explora 6 (2028). The vessels are owned by the MSC Group and operated as a separate fleet under the luxury travel brand MSC Cruises’ MSC EXPLORA JOURNEYS.
The Explora IV deck plan shows a total of 463 staterooms for 926 passengers (maximum capacity 1473 guests) served by 640 crew. The vessel has 13 decks (11 accessible to passengers, 5 with accommodations) and an extensive selection of dining, entertainment, and wellness facilities, including 18 food and beverage venues; Spa & Fitness Center; Medical Center (Infirmary/Hospital); Aft Marina Deck (for watersports embarkation); Marina Lounge & Bar; Forward Lounge; Coffee Lounge (patisserie); Gelateria & Crêperie Bar; Aft Lounge & Bar; Lower Aft Plunge Pool & Lounge; Upper Aft Pool & Lounge; Forward Pool & Lounge (an adults-only sundeck with a large swimming pool); Panorama Lounge & Bar; Galley/Kitchen; Lobby Hall (Reception & Tour Desk); Casino; Duty-Free Boutiques; Art Gallery; and the MSC Foundation venue.
The ship offers 6 restaurants (Mediterranean, International, Concept, Steakhouse, Pan-Asian, and an All-Day Dining/Lido Buffet), 4 swimming pools (3 outdoor and 1 indoor with a retractable glass roof), several whirlpools (indoor and outdoor Jacuzzies/spa pools), a Sports Court, a 2-lane Running Track, and multiple sundeck areas for sunbathing, relaxation, open-air seating, and 64 private cabanas available for rent.
Most decks are served by 8 elevators (2 forward and 2 aft banks of lifts) as well as internal staircases.
