Review of MV Stella Australis deck 2 (Magallanes-Lobby)

  • Magallanes Deck has the ship's Lobby where are located the Reception, Shop and Library.
  • Reception provides 24-hour guest services (information, cashier).
  • Gift Shop sells brand merchandise (T-shirts, caps, fleeces, jewelry), also sports gear (including waterproof clothes and boots).
  • The Library (opposite to the reception) has all 4 shelves with books (mainly polar travel guides).
  • Cruise cabins from 202 to 244, all of which are Standard staterooms. Magallanes Deck 2 cabins (categories A, B) are above waterline and get splashed constantly. Their windows are also smaller. Category B rooms (deck 2 forward) are with 1 small Porthole Window (round-shaped) and due to their location - with curved walls and slightly smaller. These 3 cabins (numbers 202, 203, 204) are also near the ship's anchor, so noise from the anchor (when is lowered and raised) could be an issue.
