MV Stella Australis cabins review

MV Stella Australis cruise ship staterooms are all outside/oceanview (no balconies), arranged across three decks in two types (Standard and Superior) and six cabin categories. All accommodations feature contemporary, nautically themed décor with dark-wood furnishings.

Each cabin includes either one double bed or two twin beds (convertible to a queen-size on request), under-bed storage, bedside tables (with phone, alarm clock, and fixed reading lamps), a writing desk, wardrobe (with lifejackets), and a closet housing an electronic safe, shelves, and a full-length mirror. Guests receive two bottles of water, and each cabin has two 3-pin 220V power outlets (one by the desk and one by the bed). En-suite bathrooms feature a WC, shower, single-sink vanity, wall-mounted hairdryer, and daily replenished French-brand bath products.

Superior Cabins include a round coffee table with two chairs. Standard Cabins have one chair. Superior Cabins also function as family cabins, offering optional triple occupancy (a third single bed is available upon request).

Most staterooms have large, non-opening picture windows (near floor-to-ceiling). Magallanes Deck 2 cabins (categories A and B) are positioned above the waterline; their windows are smaller and may occasionally be splashed. Category B cabins (Deck 2 forward) have curved walls, are slightly smaller, and are located near the ship’s anchor, so noise may be noticeable when the anchor is deployed or raised. These are cabins 202, 203, and 204.

All cabins are TV-free.

Filtered water dispensers are available on each deck.
