MV Ventus Australis cabins review

MV Ventus Australis cruise ship staterooms are all outside/oceanview (no balconies), located across 3 decks, offered in 2 types (Standard and Superior) and a total of 6 cabin categories. All accommodations feature contemporary, nautically inspired decor and dark wood furniture.

Each cabin is fitted with either 1 double bed or 2 twin beds (convertible to a Queen-size upon request), under-bed storage, bedside tables (with phone, alarm clock, wall lamps/fixed reading lights), a writing desk, a wardrobe (with lifejackets), and a closet containing an electronic safe, shelving, and a full-length mirror. Additional amenities include 2 bottles of water, two 3-pin plug sockets (220 V, located by the desk and bed), and an en-suite bathroom with WC, shower, single-sink vanity, wall-mounted hairdryer, and French-brand bath products replenished daily.

Superior Cabins feature a round coffee table with 2 chairs, while Standard Cabins have 1 chair. The "Superior" category is family-friendly and allows optional triple occupancy (a 3rd single bed is available upon request).

Most staterooms have large picture windows (nearly floor-to-ceiling, non-opening). Cabins on Magallanes Deck 2 (categories A and B) are situated above the waterline, may occasionally be splashed, and have smaller windows. Due to their forward location, Category B cabins on Deck 2 have curved walls and are slightly smaller. Cabins 202, 203, and 204 are located near the ship’s anchor, so anchor-handling operations (lowering and raising) may produce noticeable noise.

All cabins are without TVs.

Filtered water dispensers are available on each deck.
