MV Ventus Australis cabins review

MV Ventus Australis cruise ship staterooms are all outside/oceanview (no balconies), spread across 3 decks, in 2 types (Standard and Superior) and in all 6 cabin categories. All cabins feature contemporary decor (nautically-themed), dark wood furniture.

Each cabin is fitted with either 1 double or 2 twin beds (convertible to a Queen-size on request), under-bed storage space, bedside tables (phone, alarm clock, wall lamps / fixed reading lights), 1 writing desk, wardrobe (lifejackets), closet (electronic safe, shelves, full-length mirror), bottled water (2 bottles), two 3-pin plug sockets (220 V, by the desk and the bed), en-suite bathroom (WC, shower, 1-sink vanity, hairdryer / wall-affixed, French brand bath products / replenished daily).

Superior Cabins have 1 coffee table (round-shaped) with 2 chairs. Standard rooms are with 1 chair only. "Superior" is a family cabin category with optional triple occupancy (3rd bed/single is available upon request).

Most staterooms are with large picture windows (almost floor-ceiling, non-opening). Magallanes Deck 2 cabins (categories A, B) are above the waterline and get splashed constantly. Their windows are also smaller. Category B cabins (deck 2 forward) are with 1 small Porthole Window (round-shaped) and due to their location - with curved walls and slightly smaller. These 3 cabins (numbers 202, 203, 204) are also near the ship's anchor, so noise from the anchor (when is lowered and raised) could be an issue.

All cabins are without TVs.

Filtered water dispensers are available on each deck.
