MSC Cruises updates health and safety protocols for USA residents

MSC Cruises announced an update to its health & safety protocols for Americans/USA residents on voyages departing from United States ports to the Caribbean.

Beginning September 1, 2022, MSC will relax its COVID protocols for USA residents. For non-USA residents, testing and vaccination protocols remain unchanged.

The details include the following:

  • US Residents:

Vaccination is recommended/no longer required

Pre-cruise COVID testing is no longer required for fully vaccinated passengers

Unvaccinated guests are required to show proof of a negative COVID test (NAAT/antigen) taken within 3 days of boarding

Passengers under the age of 2 are exempt from the COVID testing requirement

  • Non-US Residents:

Full COVID vaccinations are still required for passengers 12+

Regardless of their vaccination status, passengers 2 years of age/older must provide proof of a negative COVID test taken within 3 days of boarding

Passengers under the age of 2 are exempt from the COVID testing requirement
