CCL-Carnival Cruise Line has inaugurated its newest fleet member - Carnival Venezia/fka Costa Venezia, offering guests an experience of "Carnival Fun Italian Style." The ship embarked on a 2-week Carnival Journey/Transatlantic crossing (RepositionCruises.com) from Barcelona Spain (left on May 29th) to end in New York City, where she will be homeported at Manhattan Cruise Terminal, starting roundtrip voyages on June 13th.

Carnival President Christine Duffy warmly welcomed the first guests as they boarded the ship at Barcelona's cruise terminal on Monday. Duffy will accompany the guests and the friendly crew for the initial leg of the journey.

Carnival Venezia is the pioneer ship to showcase the concept of "Carnival Fun Italian Style." The onboard entertainment is uniquely designed to immerse guests in an Italian-themed experience, including special events like the Captain's Venetian Toast and an Italian street party on the Lido deck. The ship also introduces a range of new dining and beverage options, including the specialty restaurant called "Il Viaggio," offering a gastronomic voyage through various regions of Italy.

While incorporating new concepts, Carnival Venezia still retains beloved Carnival favorites that guests appreciate, such as Guy Fieri's Guy's Burger Joint, the Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse, Bonsai Sushi & Teppanyaki, and the Chef's Table. Additionally, guests can enjoy the Piano Bar 88 and Heroes Tribute Lounge. The ship's interior design pays tribute to the city of Venice, Italy, which serves as the inspiration for the ship's new concepts and programming.

The ship's inaugural cruise from New York will be a 4-day trip to Bermuda, commencing on June 15th, 2023. Carnival Venezia, operating from her homeport in New York, will offer 10 different cruise durations and 22 unique itineraries, visiting 25 ports across 14 countries.

In winter 2024, Carnival Venezia will reposition from New York and embark on a 12-day Southern Caribbean Carnival Journeys Cruise, arriving at Port Canaveral FL on December 18th, 2024. She will then begin a seasonal deployment in Florida, departing from Port Canaveral and visiting popular destinations in the Caribbean and the Bahamas. The ship will eventually return to New York in the spring of 2025.
