Celebrity Cruises has revealed the details of the culinary and beverage program for their upcoming ship, Celebrity Ascent, which is the fourth vessel in the cruise line's Edge Series. The ship is set to offer a plethora of exciting experiences, such as revamped restaurants, an immersive dinner experience, expanded food and cocktail menus, a new whiskey-tasting adventure, and a plant-based multi-course dinner.
A standout addition is Le Voyage, a restaurant by Chef Daniel Boulud, who serves as Celebrity Cruises' Global Culinary Ambassador. The restaurant boasts a fresh design and a diverse menu inspired by Chef Boulud's personal travels and favorite destinations. Guests can reserve the Chef's Table for a multi-course tasting dinner paired with wines, followed by Chef Boulud's signature madeleines.
Another highlight is Eden, one of the venues featured on Edge Series ships, which will showcase a seven-course plant-based tasting menu on Celebrity Ascent. This menu will prioritize fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from their places of origin, providing a delightful natural culinary experience. Guests can either enjoy the tasting menu or opt for organic and vegan wine pairings.
For the main dining experience, Celebrity Ascent offers four restaurant choices with New American, Mediterranean, French Contemporary, and Italian cuisines. The Cosmopolitan restaurant, with a layout inspired by the champagne culture, will be a particularly interesting option.
The specialty dining venues on Celebrity Ascent will also receive updates. Le Petit Chef, known for its entertaining animations depicting each dish, will present a four-course dining show with a fairytale theme. Fine Cut Steakhouse introduces a new dish, the Lemon Poached Lobster Tail, while Aqua Class guests can enjoy al fresco dining on Blu's outdoor terrace.
For beverage enthusiasts, Celebrity Cruises has enhanced its spirits tasting program on Celebrity Ascent with an exclusive partnership with WhistlePig Whiskey. The ship will feature two hand-selected barrels made exclusively for Celebrity Cruises, providing guests with an exceptional whiskey experience.
Wine lovers will not be disappointed as Celebrity Ascent boasts an exceptional wine selection, with three venues recognized with Wine Spectator Awards. Guests can indulge in extensive wine lists, expert sommeliers, wine-tasting seminars, and even world tour experiences.
The heart of Celebrity Ascent, The Grand Plaza, will feature an expanded Martini Bar menu, offering classic martinis, fruit-infused creations, and delectable dessert martinis. To add to the enjoyment, guests can watch skilled mixologists perform the iconic Flair Bartender Shows, crafting impressive towers of martinis.
To experience all these amenities and culinary offerings, tourists can join one of the Taste of Luxury preview voyages or the 7-night Eastern Caribbean Maiden Voyage in December 2023, as Celebrity Ascent sets sail on her inaugural Caribbean season with various preview sailings in November 2023.
