Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group introduces its latest addition to the maritime landscape: a new Peruvian riverboat poised for its inaugural voyage in April 2025. Marking the company's debut in South America's river cruising realm, this vessel promises travelers an extraordinary odyssey through the region's hidden treasures.

The boat's official name will be unveiled soon.

With nearly a quarter-century of immersion in Peru's landscapes, Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) brings unmatched proficiency and a profound grasp of the Amazon's distinctive biodiversity and cultural legacy. Leveraging decades of excellence in river exploration, honed through navigating Egypt's iconic Nile River, and drawing from the maritime heritage of owner Manfredi Lefebvre d'Ovidio's family, the new riverboat pledges an unparalleled voyage through the Amazon's captivating terrain and diverse cultural heritage.

This endeavor is a product of collaboration between A&K and Ecoventura/fleet, its expedition yacht brand renowned in the Galapagos. Capitalizing on Ecoventura's extensive experience in constructing and operating luxury expedition vessels in the sensitive Galapagos environment, the partnership aims to replicate that expertise, sustainability, and meticulous attention to detail in the heart of the Amazon.

The riverboat, envisioned as a floating boutique hotel (cruise houseboat), boasts 12 staterooms (10 double + 2 single cabins). Each passenger accommodation exudes sophistication, incorporating indigenous materials and artistic flair while offering breathtaking vistas of the ever-changing landscapes through expansive floor-to-ceiling windows.

With A&K's signature expedition prowess and expert guiding, the riverboat's thoughtfully crafted 3- and 4-night itineraries ensure guests delve into Amazon's untamed splendor and diverse cultures. Travelers will navigate the mysterious waterways and verdant expanses of the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve, encountering abundant wildlife and interacting with indigenous communities, all while luxuriating in the unmatched opulence and service synonymous with Abercrombie & Kent.

These voyages can be seamlessly combined to form a comprehensive 7-night journey, exploring both the Maranon and Ucayali rivers. All expeditions conveniently commence and culminate in the port town of Nauta, a brief transfer from the city of Iquitos, home to the nearest airport.
