Azamara Cruises is set to enhance its Alaska itineraries in summer 2026 by introducing 9 new Cruisetour packages.
These are land programs, ranging from 2 to 6 nights, designed to complement the company's 10 Alaskan voyages scheduled for the Azamara Pursuit ship. Departures are available from Whittier (Alaska) and Vancouver (BC Canada).
Each Cruisetour package includes hotel accommodations, transfers, luggage handling, professional guides, admission fees, and select meals. The offerings are tailored to provide guests with in-depth exploration opportunities beyond the coastline.
From Whittier (Alaska):
- Alyeska, Nordic Spa & Wildlife (2-night Pre- or Post-Cruise): Features a stay at Alyeska Resort with access to the Nordic Spa and a visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center.
- Alaska Explorer: Denali, Talkeetna, Riverboat & Rail (4-night Pre- or Post-Cruise): Includes travel from Fairbanks to Talkeetna via rail and riverboat, wildlife exploration in Denali, and a visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center.
- Alaska Wildlife & Rail (4-night Pre- or Post-Cruise): Offers a land tour from Talkeetna to Denali with panoramic rail experiences, wildlife viewing, and local farm visits.
From Vancouver (BC, Canada):
- City Views & Mountain Vistas (2-night pre- or post-cruise): Explores Vancouver's landmarks, including Stanley Park, Gastown, Granville Island, Capilano Suspension Bridge, and a gondola ride up Grouse Mountain.
- Whistler Wilderness & Scenic Vancouver (2-night pre- or post-cruise): Features travel along the Sea-to-Sky Highway to Whistler, a Bear Viewing Adventure by Land Rover, and exploration of Vancouver's highlights.
- Canadian Rockies by Rocky Mountaineer (5-night post-cruise): Includes a journey from Vancouver to Banff aboard the Rocky Mountaineer, with visits to Banff National Park, Lake Louise, and Moraine Lake.
- Journey Through the Rockies (5-night post-cruise): Covers Western Canada with stops in Whistler, Banff National Park, Lake Louise, and Moraine Lake, along with scenic drives and wine tasting in Kamloops.
- Journey Through the Rockies (6-night pre-cruise): Travels from Calgary to Vancouver through the Canadian Rockies, featuring Banff National Park, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, a Banff gondola ride, wine tasting in Kamloops, and a Vancouver city tour.
Azamara's Cruisetours offer exclusive experiences, such as a "Welcome to Denali" presentation at the Denali Discovery Center led by a local naturalist, complete with a wine and cheese reception. Additional highlights include hands-on gold panning at "Gold Daughters," a visit to a working farm to learn about Alaska's agricultural landscape, and a cultural experience at the Alaska Native Heritage Center, where guests can make traditional Alaska Native ice cream.
Each Alaska sailing will feature an exclusive and complimentary AzAmazing Evening. The Alaskan edition includes the renowned Lumberjack Show, showcasing the skills and traditions of local lumberjacks.
