Star Voyager to homeport in Hong Kong for 2025 summer season

Star Cruises has announced that the Star Voyager will homeport in Hong Kong from June 27 to August 31, 2025. This deployment marks the return of the revitalized Star Cruises brand to Hong Kong, a key homeport for the line since its inception over 30 years ago.

The Star Voyager’s arrival is expected to contribute significantly to cruise tourism in Hong Kong and the wider region, offering expanded voyage options and reaffirming Star Cruises' commitment to the Asian cruise market.

During the 2025 summer season, Star Voyager will operate a series of itineraries ranging from 2 to 5 nights. Destinations include ports in Taiwan such as Taipei (Keelung), Kaohsiung, and Penghu, as well as Naha and Ishigaki in Okinawa, Japan. The schedule also features the return of the popular 2-night Weekend High Seas Cruise, departing every Friday, targeting guests seeking short sea getaways.

Taiwan Itineraries:

  • 3-night Hong Kong–Kaohsiung–Penghu cruises departing Sundays: 29 June, 13 July, and 10 August 2025.
  • 2-night Hong Kong–Kaohsiung cruises departing Wednesdays: 2 July, 16 July, and 13 August 2025.

The Taiwan itineraries will provide opportunities for cultural exploration in Kaohsiung, Taiwan’s major southern port city, and leisure experiences in the Penghu archipelago, known for its coastal scenery and heritage villages.

Japan Itineraries:

  • 5-night Hong Kong–Ishigaki–Naha cruises departing Sundays: 6 July and 3 August 2025.
  • 5-night Hong Kong–Naha–Ishigaki cruises departing Sundays: 20 July and 17 August 2025.

Star Voyager’s sailings to Okinawa Prefecture will offer calls at Naha and Ishigaki, noted for their tropical landscapes, historical sites, and vibrant cultural offerings.

Combined Japan and Taiwan Itinerary:

  • 5-night Hong Kong–Ishigaki–Keelung–Penghu cruises departing Sundays: 27 July and 24 August 2025.

This itinerary integrates destinations in both Japan and Taiwan, combining scenic coastal experiences and urban cultural highlights.

Weekend High Seas Cruises:

  • 2-night cruises departing Fridays: 27 June; 4, 11, 18, and 25 July; 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29 August 2025.

These cruises will focus on the onboard experience, with guests able to enjoy a range of amenities including water parks, adventure activities, live entertainment, and a variety of accommodation options from standard cabins to Palace Suites featuring private facilities and 24-hour butler service.
