Princess Cruises has achieved a notable milestone in wine hospitality by securing the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for each of its 16 ships in the 2025 Restaurant Awards.
This marks the second consecutive year the company has completed a fleetwide sweep, surpassing every other cruise operator in the number of awards received.
The accolades were awarded to the main dining rooms aboard 15 vessels and to the Sanctuary Collection Restaurant (on Sun Princess) - a distinction that underscores Princess’s commitment to wine and food pairing across its fleet.
As part of the global 2025 Awards of Excellence, just over 2,000 establishments worldwide were recognized, with Princess Cruises standing alone as the only cruise line honored on every vessel.
The company's wine program encompasses 250+ labels from renowned regions such as France, Italy, Argentina, and New Zealand. In addition, Princess prioritises sustainable viticulture, offering biodynamic, organic, vegan-friendly options, and championing female winemakers. Comprehensive tasting notes assist guests in navigating flavour profiles whether they are casual sippers or experienced connoisseurs.
Further distinguishing their onboard libations is the Love Lines Premium Liquors Collection. This curated portfolio features celebrity-backed wines, such as Taraji P. Henson’s Seven Daughters Moscato, Jason Aldean’s Melorosa Sauvignon Blanc and Red Blend, Romero Britto’s Love Prosecco, and Kylie Minogue’s non-alcoholic sparkling rosé.
Sami Kohen (Princess Cruises’ VP of Food and Beverage) described the accolade as validation of the line’s philosophy that a well-curated wine list should enhance the culinary experience by creating harmony across courses and reflecting regional flavours. He noted that the recognition reaffirms the company’s dedication to delivering a diverse and destination-inspired wine program.
