Atlas Ocean Voyages/AOV has scheduled the "Canadian Arctic Discovery" itinerary for 2026, aboard World Voyager ship. The 17-night polar voyage, from Kangerlussuaq, Greenland, to St. John’s, Newfoundland, starts on September 21st ( 2026).

This route will guide voyagers through the remote reaches of the Canadian Arctic and Labrador, spotlighting unspoiled wilderness, indigenous cultures, and diverse wildlife.

The itinerary will offer Zodiac safaris in Disco Bay and the Button Islands—regions frequented by polar bears, walruses, and whales—as well as ice‑cruise passages and black bear sightings within Nachvak Fjord.

Onshore, guests will step into settlements such as Sisimiut and Qikiqtarjuaq, encountering Greenlandic and Canadian Inuit artisans, along with Basque and French‑heritage communities. They will witness ancient Inuit traditions, explore the historic Basque whaling station at Red Bay, and visit Saint‑Pierre and Miquelon.

Further landings will include the ruins of Hebron’s Moravian mission and the geological wonders of Gros Morne National Park, enhanced by Captain's Choice days for spontaneous exploration.

Wildlife sightings of polar bears, migratory seabirds, seals, and whales are expected during remote landings and Zodiac journeys.

Atlas has also confirmed the return of two expedition leaders for the 2025 Arctic season: Jonathan Zaccaria, a French engineer‑turned‑polar guide with Antarctic and Arctic experience and Ekaterina Uryupova, originally from Siberia, who brings a Ph.D. in environmental sciences and expertise in marine biology, climate science, and advocacy.

This Canadian Arctic Discovery voyage will complement other 2025 Arctic expeditions aboard World Traveller and World Voyager, including September sailings from Tromsø, Longyearbyen, and Reykjavík—with availability described as extremely limited.

For aficionados of maritime adventure, this expedition offers a rare traversal through some of Earth's most remote and culturally rich northern landscapes, blending wildlife immersion, cultural encounters, and dynamic cruising in an intimate polar yacht setting.
