Crystal has confirmed two key milestones in the construction timeline for its first new ship in a quarter century, marking a significant step in the brand’s revival under the ownership of Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group.

The ship’s steel cutting is scheduled for May 2026, to be followed by the keel laying in December of the same year. These stages will formally begin the physical construction process, with delivery anticipated in May 2028.

According to the company, extensive preparatory work has already been underway, encompassing the vessel’s design, technical innovations, and onboard craftsmanship. Crystal emphasized that the partnership with Fincantieri reflects a shared commitment to precision and quality, ensuring the timely delivery of a vessel designed to embody the brand’s hallmark of refinement and service.

Details including the ship’s name, inaugural itineraries, and new suite configurations are expected to be released by the end of the year. Her debut season in 2028 will open for sale next spring, with an advance waitlist to precede the official launch.
