Crystal has announced that its first new ocean vessel in 25 years will be named Crystal Grace.
Under the ownership of the Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group, the ship is scheduled for delivery in May 2028, with its inaugural voyage set for June 11 of that year following a series of preview sailings. This new build is stated to represent a significant evolution of the brand's heritage, integrating innovation with a sophisticated and timeless design.
In the lead-up to the announcement, the brand engaged its audience through a digital word game on social media, inviting them to deduce the vessel's name. Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group, explained that the name Grace was selected to reflect the vessel's refined aesthetic and seamless operation. She conveyed that the name embodies the effortless elegance and tranquil spirit central to the Crystal identity, noting that the ship is intended to honor the line's legacy while appealing to a new generation of travelers.
The Crystal Grace will be a vessel of 61,800 gross tons, accommodating 650 passengers based on double occupancy. Its accommodations will be exclusively suites, and its amenities will include a full perimeter promenade. The culinary offerings will feature several exclusive venues, such as Umi Uma, the only Nobu restaurant at sea, the only Beefbar at sea, and Osteria d’Ovidio with menus by the Michelin-starred Alajmo brothers, all included in the voyage fare. The ship will also maintain a high crew-to-passenger ratio to ensure personalized service.
Onshore experiences will be curated by Abercrombie & Kent, utilizing its global network of destination management companies. Further details regarding the Crystal Grace’s suite categories are expected in December, with additional announcements concerning its inaugural season, design, and new offerings to follow in the coming months. Bookings for its 2028 inaugural season will open in April 2026, with a waitlist becoming available shortly.
