Emerald Cruises has confirmed that its second ocean-going superyacht, Emerald Kaia, has successfully completed sea trials and remains on schedule for her inaugural sailing on May 10th.

The 110-metre vessel is set to operate 7-night Adriatic itineraries, sailing roundtrip from Dubrovnik and Split. Designed for small-port access, Emerald Kaia will call at destinations including Hvar, Korčula and Mljet in Croatia, as well as Kotor in Montenegro. The ship accommodates up to 360 guests across 180 suites and staterooms, comprising 44 Balcony Suites with private outdoor areas, 12 Deluxe Balcony Suites, 8 Terrace Suites and 2 Owner’s Suites.

Emerald Cruises indicated that the completion of sea trials represents a key technical milestone and allows the project to progress toward final delivery and guest operations. The company positions Emerald Kaia as an evolution of its ocean yacht concept, combining compact dimensions with expanded onboard amenities and regional itineraries.

Public spaces on board include an infinity-style swimming pool, a Sky Bar, an observation lounge and a wellness area with spa and fitness facilities. Dining is centred around Aqua, the main restaurant, complemented by Aperitivo as a specialty venue. A marina platform at the stern provides access to water-based activities, with equipment such as kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and snorkelling gear carried on board.

Emerald Kaia joins sister ship Emerald Azzurra, introduced in 2022, which operates itineraries in the Mediterranean and Red Sea. Together, the two vessels form Emerald Cruises’ ocean yacht collection, focused on smaller ships and destination-driven sailing programmes.
