A 27-year-old man was found deceased aboard a cruise ship docked in Singapore waters on January 19th, shortly after the vessel’s arrival at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre.

Singapore police confirmed that a call for assistance was received at approximately 6.35 a.m. Officers responding to the incident located the man unresponsive on board the ship, where he was subsequently pronounced dead by the vessel’s medical staff. Preliminary findings indicated no suspicion of foul play, although investigations remain ongoing.

Authorities have not disclosed the man’s nationality, and it has not been confirmed whether he was a Singapore resident or a visiting passenger.

The vessel involved is understood to be RCI-Royal Caribbean International’s Ovation of the Seas, which had just completed a round-trip cruise between Singapore and Penang, Malaysia, operating from January 16th to 19th. The ship arrived in Singapore at around 6.30 a.m. and is scheduled to resume service with another 3-night Penang itinerary departing on January 26th.
