Azamara Cruises and OneSpaWorld have announced a new phase in their nearly 20-year partnership with a series of fleetwide enhancements to the onboard wellness experience. The upgrades will be introduced during scheduled dry dock periods under Azamara's ongoing Azamara Forward refurbishment programme, reflecting the companies' continued investment in wellness-focused facilities and guest services.

The first installations are scheduled aboard Azamara Pursuit from August 18th, 2026, followed by Azamara Quest on November 25th, 2026, with the remaining vessels receiving similar enhancements during 2027. Depending on the scope of work, each refurbishment is expected to require between two and four weeks.

Claudio Sammartano, Head of Onboard Revenue at Azamara Cruises, stated that the long-standing partnership with OneSpaWorld has consistently focused on improving the onboard wellness offering. He noted that the latest investment reflects a shared objective of combining innovation, personalisation and high service standards while continuing to adapt to evolving guest expectations.

At the centre of the refurbishment programme is the expansion of the THESANCTUM spa. Each vessel will receive two additional treatment rooms, including a dedicated couples' suite and an extra single treatment room, increasing treatment capacity while allowing guests travelling together to experience spa therapies in a private setting.

The project also introduces a redesigned retail area at the entrance to THESANCTUM. The new space will offer a selection of wellness and beauty products from brands including ELEMIS, Kérastase, JOU Chinese Herbs and Good Feet, extending the onboard wellness experience beyond spa treatments.

Another significant addition will be the introduction of Medi-Spa and IV therapy services. Licensed physicians will provide a range of aesthetic treatments, including Thermage skin tightening, Restylane dermal fillers, Dysport wrinkle treatments and microneedling. The wellness programme will also include medically supervised intravenous therapies, featuring NAD+ Longevity IV treatments together with vitamin and nutrient infusions intended to support hydration and overall wellbeing.

Leonard Fluxman, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of OneSpaWorld, said the partnership with Azamara continues to be driven by close collaboration and a shared commitment to introducing meaningful new wellness experiences at sea. Martha Brabham, Vice President of Design and Revitalization at Azamara Cruises, added that every aspect of the refurbishment had been developed to strengthen THESANCTUM's personalised approach to guest wellbeing through expanded treatment facilities, enhanced retail offerings and advanced wellness services.
